Cool hangout for teens!

Wakasa Teen Center is a place where teens ages 13 - 18 are welcome to come hang out, play games & sports, and participate in activities both on and off base.
Wakasa Teen Center is part of the Air Force Youth Programs and is affiliated with B&GC (Boys & Girls Club) and National 4H.
Each month is packed with fun activities for teens such as paintballing, arts & crafts, basketball and volleyball challenges for sports fanatics.
Teens can also join clubs like the 2K7 Club, Sports Club, or Madden ’07 Club. Each month also features special trips or programs such as skiing / snowboarding trips, trips to Asamushi Aquarium and other events.
The Wakasa Teen Center guides its youth by promoting healthy lifestyles. A number of Misawa’s teens participate in FitFactor, a youth fitness initiative that encourages and rewards physical activity for youths. Teens can earn points & win great prizes by participating in FitFactor.

The Wakasa Teen Center also encourages community involvement. Teens who serve the community may be eligible for Youth of the Month, or even Youth of the Year, which yields numerous scholarship opportunities and other rewards.
As a member of Wakasa Teen Center, teens will have the opportunity to participate in a multitude of programs throughout the year which recognize and reward teens for their talents & scholastic abilities. The Space Academy program, 4-H Adventure Camp, Teen Aviation and the Nell Buckley Performing Arts Series are just a few of the programs offered each year.
Be sure to check out the schedule of upcoming events here online or in the Leisure Times each month!

    Our Core Program Areas include:
Character and Leadership Development, Education and Career Development,
Health and Life Skills, the Arts, and Sports, Fitness and Recreation.
