Our qualified staff will nurture your little ones!

The purpose of the Child Development Program is to offer quality care for children of active duty and Department of Defense civilians assigned to Misawa Air Base. The programs have been accredited with the National Association for the Education of Young Children and annually receive re-certification by the Department of Defense.
The philosophy of our program is to support the development of the whole child, meaning all areas of the child’s development are considered interrelated and equally important. There is a respect for each child’s unique interests and experiences, abilities and needs.
Yoiko CDC on main base has 15 classrooms, and Zeamer CDC in the north area has six. Both facilities offer full-day and hourly care for children ages six weeks to five years.
Care for children with special needs is available based on the ability of the program to meet the needs of the child. We require written guidance from a physician, therapist or other appropriate health professional.

Fees for full-day care are based on Total Family Income (TFI) to include BAH and Basic Allowance for Subsistence. Fees range from $59.25 to $129 a week.
Questions about our programs and waiting list procedures at either facility can be answered by telephoning Yoiko CDC at 226-4666 during hours of operation.
In conjunction with the Airman and Family Readiness Center, each month the CDC offers free child care through the Give Parents a Break program. To obtain more information and to ask about eligibility, contact the CDC or the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 226-4735.
During the school year, Zeamer provides a three-hour preschool enrichment program for children ages 3 and older. Classes are divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Telephone Zeamer CDC at 226-2419 for program details and enrollment information.
